Sat 20th June 2026

The Saturday event was a public open day with passenger trains operating in between the freight paths.

Here Simplex locos  "Major JA Robins RE" & newly repainted "Paul" top & tail.

Simplex "Nocton" sits with the potato railway rake of 2 class Ds and the ambulance van.

Peckett "Jurassic" coming off shed in morning behind the skip wagons in no 2 road.

Passenger train returning to Walls Lane.

Deutz engined "T3" and "Sark" in charge of the PW train on no 2 curve.

The potato train in between no 6 and "Nocton".

Heading for Seathorne Bank.

"Jurassic" leading the passenger train on Drainside straight.

Privately-owned Simplex no 7905 completing its first passenger train run with "Jurassic" on rear.

Returning potato train.

A full train with "Paul" leading.

"Jurassic" & "Major JA Robins RE" leaving for Seathorne Bank as the potato train runs up the shed link line.

The newly arrived ex IWM petrol-engined Simplex is taken to the shed from its display at Walls Lane ready for inclusion in the cavalcade of locos.

This years cavalcade was the longest ever with 11 locomotives - IWM loco (not under power) is fourth from front.

"Jurassic" leads this years cavalcade back to Walls Lane. Sad to think that "Jurassic" will not be in steam

next year as its boiler ticket expires in autumn 2026.

Should anyone wish to donate to the "Jurassic" appeal, details are on our homepage.
